Toontrack Music past, present and future, a letter to our users and friends.

Coming home this week from the NAMM winter show in Anaheim I would like to take this opportunity to round up the past year and the coming and to thank all users for their support and patience in relation to the products that are in development.

2007 was by far Toontrack Music’s most successful year to date. We’ve seen EZdrummer and the EZX expansion packs realize their full potential with sales rising sharply until years end and beyond. The support from all of you has grown the company tremendously and we aim to deliver on that support and faith by developing and releasing high quality product in the year and years to come.

2008 sees the realization of a product line envisioned by Toontrack to, in time, cover all aspects of drum and percussion production for all kinds of users. Tools for players and producers as well as for beginners and pros, tools for songwriting, producing and playing drums and percussion.

We’ve set an ambitious schedule for this year with the release of the next generation of our pro drum sampler platform, Superior Drummer 2.0; Drumtracker, our own sound replacement tool and EZplayer Pro, the beefed up version of the EZplayer Free MIDI organizer and arranger. On top of that we’re planning to release at least two more EZX expansion packs, readable by both EZdrummer and Superior Drummer 2.0 and one Superior Drummer 2.0 expansion in the New York Studio Legacy series.

The coming years will see these products becoming more and more integrated to give you all strengthened value and longer product life. Extensions of the existing product and further development will see the birth of entirely new platforms to help you make your music making smoother and more inspirational, delivering the best possible workflow and the best possible sound.

We are proud and grateful that you’ve all chosen to use Toontrack products as creative tools in your music-making arsenal and we hope that you will keep doing so as a result of our work.

Thank you.

Andreas Sundgren, Toontrack Music
