Top 1 reason why The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy will suck

well, thanks a lot for the input there, but i still think you're being a bit over the top and/or on yourself :p

@seldom: that's kinda obvious :lol:

it wasn't true to the book. It was too americanised. The jokes were dumbed down and most were left out and replaced by those one would find in an episode of Dharma and Greg... I mean, come on. It is pure sacrilege. I wish I'd never seen it. If you want a true taste for the masterpiece there are three things you should do.

1) listen to the original bbc radio series
2) read the book
3) watch the original bbc television series.

well i know it's far worse than the book, i mean, i can get your point there

but hey, what the hell, it had cool visuals, a good soundtrack, and mantained comparatively lots of "nonsense" to a big budget movie. So even if it's not 100% true to the book, it's more fun than most of the last movies i've seen for sure :p

Really? I felt extrememly bored throughout the whole thing. I laughed twice throughout the whole thing.

i laughed every single time the doors said "aaaaaaahhhh", but i'm also a lover of small stupid humor :lol:

Hmm... I thought the whole door thing worked better in the tv series. Marvin loooked like shit too. Such great comedies like this and Red Dward definately work better with shitty effects.
