Top 10 fav Bands again!

Ya know, this is a really hard one...

A Perfect Circle
Anathema
Blackfield
Katatonia
Iron Maiden
Jeff Buckley
Mew
Paradise Lost
Porcupine Tree
Type O Negative

It sucks though, cause I know I'm leaving out dozens of bands that are just as amazing.

Depends on my mood, but as it is now, I would say:

Paradise Lost
Saturnus
Anathema
Draconian
Dark Tranquillity
H.I.M.
The Loveless
Dimmu Borgir
Marduk
Funeral

And i still cant understand what people see in agalloch..
I finally saw the light and realized they aren't anything too special. I think they are a good band and all, but wayyyyyy overrated. It's been done before, by better bands. But still they have some decent stuff.

So difficult...(and like someone else said already, it really, truly does depend on the mood alot of the time - only top 3 seem to be CONSTANT!)

No order...really...

  • HIM
  • Katatonia
  • Opeth
  • Ulver
  • Delerium
  • The Loveless
  • Porcupine Tree
  • Nirvana
  • Agalloch
  • Enigma
I'm missing alot, but it's a top 10 afterall isn't it? Aargh...

-Katatonia
-Negura Bunget
-HIM(I hate Darklight so much though)
-Lacrimas Profundere
-Evereve
-Slowdive
-Rapture
-Daylight Dies
-A perfect circle
-Dawn(sw)

King Crimson
Rush
Talk Talk
Tom Waits
Jeff Buckley
Alice in Chains
Katatonia
Meshuggah
Morbid Angel
Opeth

Not exactly my all time favourites, it always changes

I tried to do it in order, but I realize there's no way I can do it. So here it is, in no order:

Neurosis
Elend
Sigur Ros
Enigma
Empyrium
Dir en grey
Pink Floyd
Dead Can Dance
Canaan
Opeth

So many bands deserve to make that list though...

Never heard these two. What are they like? (as the rest of your list is solid)
Enigma is a one man electronic (pop) project. The spiritual sensibilities are really characteristic of the music. It's also fairly popular, you've probably already heard couple of tracks.

Here's a video clip:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lezJEXBr46c

About Dir en grey, they're a Japanese rock band. Their music goes from j-pop to industrial, to noise, to goth, to trash metal. Their recent stuff is much more aggressive than what it used to be.

Btw, amazing list as well. I'm a big fan of most of the bands mentioned.

Hmmm, right now it could be something like this:

-Porcupine Tree
-Boris
-Anekdoten
-King Crimson
-Ulver
-Neurosis
-Harmonium
-Maudlin of the Well
-Godspeed You! Black Emperor
-In The Woods...

:OMG: Sadgure: Fuck man, that Enigma clip of Rivers of Belief is absolutely mindblowing. I get the chills listening to it. And you know what? You made me realize I forgot to put Enigma in my list (and I STILL have to buy that bitchin' boxset addition - this clip was PROOF that I'm missing SO MANY quality tracks that couldn't be included in the greatest hits compilation...oh yes, mark my words it will be mine.). It's fixed.

No_reply: WTF? Wings of a Butterfly is one of their best songs. But I do agree it's the WORST album from the band, overall. As for the others, I could never state which is best as they're all so goddamn consistently amazing.
