Bathory and Death are top favorites of mine, but i really have no favorite bands, i just listen to great albums. I broke the rules by listing 10, sue me.

Renascent Misanthropy was one of the best albums of 2003, although I'd reckon they're not much like Opeth at all. I'd just say they're an utterly furious mix of Satyricon, Dissection and Dark Funeral with the occasional mellow moment. :) I'd say that Dornenreich is closer to being a black metal Opeth.
