5. Skepticism "Aes"
6. Anathema "Pentecost ]|["
7. Katatonia "Sounds of Decay"
8. Candlemass "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus"
9. Evoken "Embrace the Emptiness"
10. Paradise Lost "Gothic"

Your turn!

really, the 10 favs are 3 albums of SA, 4 from Candlemass etc .. but it had to be fair .

Reactions: SonOfNun
A bunch of Sabbath
Some Cathedral I've never heard
Sunn - White1

I can't make this list without going through some stuff, I don't have a terrible amount of doom but what I do I like pretty equally.

I am going to gather my thoughts for this thread later on when I am settled. I just wanted to take a moment to recognize the fact that BWD has David The Gnome in his signature. That fucking rules.

Yea I would definetly have ND's "The knowing" in mine. "Born Bleeding" from Earthcorpse. "Dawning" from Mindrot (I consider the album mostly doomish).

Warning - The Strength To Dream
Solstice - New Dark Age
Pentagram - Day of Reckoning
Reverend Bizarre - Into The Rectory of The Bizarre Reverend
Candlemass - Nightfall
Count Raven - Destruction of The Void
Orodruin - Epicurean Mass
Pagan Altar - Volume One
Saint Vitus - Saint Vitus
Solitude Aeturnus - Into The Depths Of Sorrow

No particular expect for #1

...godamn that was rough. There are so many more I can name and I am probably missing something too.

i was listening to the angel and the dark river the other day and thinking about how rarely mdb are discussed here

Oh hell yes. (And LoH fucken rules, but that old old old school vibe on Volume One is just so....haunting).

Exactly, and I also believe that the production on LoH, if was more fuller sounding, would have tremendously helped it. And I, by NO fucking means, am a production nazi. But as stated, even with the production woes, it is still a phenomenal album. It just doesn't belong in this thread imho.
