TOP 10 GUITARISTS

I'll have to check them out. 'Cause I LOVE me some Motorhead and ACDC. The songtitles on early Motorhead stuff are so sleezy and hilarious. God they fucking rock.

Think of Airborne as AC/DC with a young Brian Johnson at the helm, with a slightly updated guitar sound, & lyrically about the same as the Bon era.
Serious good time party record. If you aren't headbanging on the first track (Stand Up For Rock & Roll), you must be dead! :headbang::kickass:

Love Me Like A Reptile,
I Remain,

some people would say the same about the term "Classical"...

I happen to like both though, and I'm 18, so who cares if people think they're outdated or not... :heh:

Well, Classical actually refers to a period...Mozart, Haydn, Giuliaini, early Beethoven...just as Baroque or Romantic are periods...for some reason "Classical" stuck as a term for all "serious" music. See..."serious" is another one of those "terms". I like using "quotation marks" today.

Ah...they're just terms...like all the ridiculous categorizing of "metal".

umm, yeah I know that...
Classical music was basically the 18th century, but yeah everyone just uses it for everything even remotely associated with it...

we have a local FM station that comes out of RPI (college) that runs all kinds of programs so they are hard to listen too all the time but I caught them last week at one point playing instrumental music and it was all heavier guitar oriented stuff. Man was it kickin, problem is Im in and out so I never really caught any of the artists. The one thing I did notice was most of it sounded like it could be Vai or Satriani with only a few bursts of speed and flat picking that would indicate otherwise. I need to check some of these instrumental artists out, its a good answer for avoiding some of the ugly vocal trends and still hearing great guitar work.
