Every Overkill album up to Horrorscope is cool, and you can't beat some early Anthrax

I have every Overkill album, but one: RELIXIV. I can understand many not liking the one after the mighty Horroscope,the I Hear Black album. It's as if they wanted to sound like the band Trouble on half of the album. They to me, rebounded nicely with W.F.O. The one thing you can count on from Overkill, is that they aren't going to sell out or soften...just good old ass-kicking thrash!! I saw them at the last Gigantour, and they impressed some of the kiddies that didn't know who they were. Blitz had some good banter going with the young ones. After a bout 3 songs in, they were hooked...most of them, anyway.

Blood Tsunami is offensive to old-school thrash, and the fact that they called that album Thrash Metal is really fucking annoying. It's like Arch Enemy writing an album called Death Metal.

Is The Years of Decay a good introduction to Overkill? I'm thinking of picking it up.

I prefer Under The Influence, which came before it, but honestly you can't go wrong with either of them.

Years of Decay or Horrorscope is Overkill at their peak. But in saying that, I haven't been disappointed with their last 6-8 albums...still heavy ass stuff!
