...Top 20 Essential Thrash Metal Albums

Metallica-Ride The Lightning,Kill 'Em All
Slayer-Show No Mercy,Hell Awaits,South of Heaven.
Testament-The Legacy,The New Order.
Sadus-A Vision Of Misery.
Sabbat-History Of A Time To Come.
Destruction-Eternal Devastation.
Sodom-Agent Orange.

I forgot Annihilator -alice in hell on my list, classic. Annihilator on the other hand is a pretty craptacular band.

Why Toxik and Invocator aren't even included on these lists is beyond me

Toxik is overrated, and Think This is maybe half actual thrash metal anyways. It's basically a flashy traditional/power album with Anthrax influence. The first two Invocator albums are good (Weave the Apocalypse excellent imo) but for a list of quasi-objective excellence neither really qualifies.

although many will say otherwise, this is an excellent thrash album:

Trivium definitely has some thrash stuff. On at least one blind listen I mistook one of their songs for a Testament or some knock-off (say, Stygian) tune until the autotuned chorus came in.
