Btw, Aqualung is awesome, but don't forget "Songs from the Wood".

Cool to see a fellow JT fan! Quite strange that you should like them as judging by your list you are a major Opeth atmospheric death metal fan and yet you recognise the magic of Tull. Songs from the wood is a great album but I prefer the harder more progressive early works. Still it does feature Jack in the green. 1 of the best Tull songs of all time! I could talk about JT for a long time in fact! Maybe i should start a JT appreciation thread! haha!

well, i'd probably grab this floppy disc that i have a word file of my entire (and i mean entire) CD collection and make the insurance pay for them!!! make them get every single CD on there!!!! either that, or try to carry out my cd rack w/ all my cds on it :D
That would be hard for me to do, as I'm a vinyl freak and I have 1154 records at the moment! I have bookshelves from bottom to ceiling with records, so I think I'll just grab the most important records + the list I have.

I also like Jethro Tull! I have "Aqualung" & "Thick as a brick" and I like "Aqualung" the best. Great record! I've also just bought "Living in the past", but I haven't heard that one yet.

You should start one!! I just recently purchased "Crest of a Knave", but I haven't listened to it yet. I'm also borrowing "J-Tull Dot Com" from my aunt, but I've only listened to a few tracks from it.

Other than the albums mentioned, I haven't heard much else of Jethro Tull. I've been into "Songs From the Wood" since I was a kid, but I haven't really bought any other albums. I'm not sure which ones to buy. If you have any more suggestions, I'd appreciate it.

I think I would have to try and save every cd that I own, or at least the ones that I absolutely have to have (which add up to WAY more than 20; my Arcturus cds, Dissection, At the Gates, Vintersorg, Immortal, Katatonia...I can't leave all this stuff behind!!) I wonder if they make fire-proof containers large enough to hold my collection?

Yo Piercedfromwithin, you like Biohazard? I love them.:D That End Of My Rope song on New World Disorder is great eh. Some songs by Biohazard is deeply depressing. What do you think of their Uncivilization record? I thought it was pretty good.

I was looking through this thread and I was very intrigued by some peoples choices. Some people are definately listening to some great shit, until I saw two people that put Dark Tranquillity's worst display on their top twenty. PROJECTOR SUCKS. THIS IS UNDISPUTED. Dark Tranquillity is the best fucking band on the planet, just projector is about as good as a backstreet boys album. Go listen to skydancer like a good metal fan and stop polluting this forum with crap.

Anyways, my top twenty isnt perfect, but at least projector isnt on it.

My top 20

1. Dark Tranquillity - Skydancer (GOD on CD)
2. In Flames - The Jester Race (NOT the Jester's Race)

16. Cromlech - Reconsiousness
17. Nevermore - Politics of Ecstasy

I think I bought my first record (vinyl) 4 years ago. Back then I just listened to hip hop shit and didn't really buy that many records. Then I started listening to old stuff from before the 80's and I started buying lots of records, as there was so much more to find and there was lots of it in 2nd hand stores. All of my hip hop records are out of my collection now (I had around 100) and most of them are sold. I think I've bought most of the records during the last couple of years, at least the first year it didn't went that fast as far as I recall. When I go to a 2nd hand store I usually bring home 10-20 records every time.
Yeah, I could get a lot of money for them, but I'm not planning to sell them. Think of all the money I've used on them. Some I've paid 5 Kroner (approx. $0.66) for and some I've paid 200 Kroner (approx. $26.75) for, but if I've paid 20 Kroner on average (which I think is an fair assumption) that's more than 23.000 Kroner ($3077)!! On top of that there was the 100 hip hop records, where most of them were bought as new, then I took out 2-300 records that I never listened to (and some of them are sold now) and now I have 2-300 records that I want to sell. Some of them are the stuff I took out of my collection, some are stuff I bought 'cause I thought it was good and was dissapointed, and some are stuff I bought to trade it/sell it, so I've used a huge amount of money on records!
