@ Dionysus: One of the first people I've yet to see acknowledge Devil Doll. They are a great band, and were doing the orchestral thing before Therion ever thought of it. I have "The Girl Who Was...Death" and "Dies Irae". Great albums.

Last week:

Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante
Lisa Gerrard - the Mirror Pool

Hm, tough question. I guess if I had to grab 20 or so, it would be the one's that are hard to replace. I think I'd have to dip into my vinyls too to save some of them. The rest are insured and replaceable.

Katatonia - Saw You Drown
October Tide - Rain Without End
King Diamond - The Lake (picture disc)
Cradle of Filth - Dusk and Her Embrace (signed by band)
Danzig III OOP box set w/ video (signed)
King Diamond - Them (picture disc) and No Presents For Christmas (vinyl)
Limbonic Art - Box Set
Iron Maiden - Eddie's Archives
Nile - In The Beginning (signed by band)
Morbid Angel - The Laibach Remixes
Iced Earth - Melancholy EP

That should just about do it. However, I would probably brave the flames and start throwing the shit out of the window to try to salvage it. I don't care how much the insurance company would pay, it's too hard to rebuild...

Yeah, I agree with you there. Although some of my favorite albums are on cd (one Type O Negative & two Satyricons) it would be a lot harder to replace them if they were on vinyl for instance. I've seen "October Rust" go as high as $71 and I don't wanna pay that for any record. Then rather let Parliament's "Mothership connection" burn, although it's my favorite record. I only paid $10.50 for that, so it's fairly easy to find (and it sold 1 million copies).
As I said, I also have signed Lee Hazlewood records, as you have by Cradle of Filth, and it would be hard to replace them, especially since Lee is 73 by now and he told me that he'd release one album more and then retire.
I also have a couple of records that's been signed by my favorite drummer Dennis Chambers, so maybe I should grab those and the framed Mayhem pic-disc on my wall that has been signed by the band and also has some pictures of me with the band!
I just know that if my room caught on fire it would be a day of grief, as I've spent loads of time collecting all my records and lots of them I can't just buy in the local shop.
