Not all metal but all good.

Recently I've been enjoying Amorphis (Tales From the Thousand Lakes), November's Doom (The Pale Haunt Departure), Katatonia (Viva Emptiness) and Nile (In Their Darkened Shrines).

My personal top 10 looks a little like this...

Beatles - Sgt. Pepper
Bob Dylan - Blonde on Blonde
Bob Dylan - Highway 61
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
Rolling Stones - Sticky Fingers
Porcupine Tree - Signify
Porcupine Tree - In Absentia
Opeth - Still Life (or maybe Morningrise, I'm starting to like it that much)
Robbie Robertson - S/T

not in that order.

Not often? Why is it that threads like this seem to be posted all the time? Whatever, I'm feeling placid tonight - Doughnut holes have a tendency to effect me in such ways.

My two (or ten) cents:

1) Wintersun - Wintersun

2) Autumn Leaves - As Night Conquers Day

3) Blind Guardian - Nightfall in Middle-Earth

4) Opeth - Damnation

5) Kalmah - They Will Return

6) Arsis - A Celebration of Guilt

7) Nevermore - Dead Heart. In a Dead World

8) Behemoth - Demigod

9) Dark Tranquility - Damage Done

10) Helloween - The Dark Ride

However, the ten best albums really depend on personal tastes, so I fail to see how this is a logical post.

Here's mine (no order):

Burzum - Hvis Lyset Tar Oss
Iron Maiden - Somewhere In Time
Immortal - At The Heart of Winter
Ayreon - The Human Equation
Opeth - Morningrise
Jimi Hendrix - Band of Gypsys

3. Grip Inc - Incorporated
4. The Tea Party - Edges of Twilight

After that, there are too many to decide from.

I'm kind of surprised I haven't seen any mention of Acid Bath between this thread and the other one that was linked. Along with Opeth, they're the only other metal band I absolutely never get sick of.

Porcupine Tree - Deadwing
Ayreon - The Human Equation
Tool - Lateralus
Blood Red Throne - Affiliated with the Suffering
Bloodbath - Resurrection Through Carnage
Hallucinogen - In Dub
Agalloch - Pale Folklore
