Tried a JSX today

Hey DSS3. I'll trade you my new JSX for my old 5150.

Just Kiddin'. :loco:

I just upgraded it with a Mesa 2x12 recto cab. Retubed with 6L6's and a TS9 in front, I personally like it more the the 5150.

Bastard!

Seriously, the thing is too good... the 5150 is on eBay now, hope it sells soon!

I can't say that I don't miss the 5150 though. It was a beast. I'd like to pick one up again eventually. For some reason, I'm having major GAS for a Mesa Mark IV.

I feel that the JSX will be a permanent staple in my rig though. I hope you pick one up soon. :headbang:

I sold my 5150 5 years ago I think...
and last week the JSX. It worked great when my band played metal (darkest hour type stuff) and the crunch channel sounds faaaaaantastic, and records even better. But my band is taking another direction, more rock mellower stuff, and I just found myself twisting knobs all night. Couldnt find a sound that I liked. So after constant tube swapping etc etc. I sold it and got a JCM800 2210 88' (the 2 channel model). And....I'll never look back, absoloutely crushing tone. the way it mixes with the band.....magic:kickass:
