turning down a chick

Dude, the worst BY FAR is when (while on a laptop), you're typing, and the side of your left palm (beneath your thumb) just touches the touchpad, which of course functions as a left-click, and if the mouse cursor is out of the typing field (where I always move it so it doesn't distract me while typing), then because a left-click was received, the cursor moves out of the typing field and "focuses" on the rest of the firefox window, so a) everything I type after doesn't get recorded and b) if I hit backspace, then that's the firefox shortcut for "back", so back it goes, and when I hit forward to return to where I was, everything I had been typing has vanished :waah: (as I'm sure will come as little surprise given the specific nature of my description, this has happened to me on far too many occasions  )
I had a mobile phone which had the "delete" button just over the "back" button. You don't even imagine how many times I deleted a long sms when I just wanted to delete a mistake !

This thread is now about epic posts that where never posted.

I started masturbating in my early . . .

Hahaha =)

Well, what I was basically meaning to say in my earlier post which I deleted because it made no sense was that I HATE all these "tricks", "games" or "rules" to try to gain someone's interest. I just feel it's a bad thing because it might lead to false assumptions and it's more like a ... fucking charade to put it simply. I don't know about you guys but I don't ever get interested in a girl immediately. I have to know her for a few days first and that's why I don't even bother "picking up" girls at bars. I wouldn't mind if a girl came up to me and just started to talk though, but when/if that happens that's exactly how it should be imo. Just going up to another person and talking. I never understood all this "ritual" bullshit you need to do in a bar.

Besides, I don't like the majority of girls who are out at bars anyway. They're all the same and look the same and talk the same and sound the same and... you get the point. Man, I'm really lucky there is a girl I'm interested in and I didn't meet her at a bar. I met her at work last summer but we both went to the same school at age 13 - 16 and we were sort of in the same circle of friends but we never saw each other often enough to start a friendship. She is just awesome in every way possible - without doing anything special. That's my point with this whole post I guess... you should be able to find someone awesome without putting up a charade, and someone should be able to find you awesome without putting up a charade.

I'm just too honest for my own good I think :) It's either my looks or my too honest personality that keeps the girls away.

No of course not, but I just wanted to voice my STRONG disgust in all of these "tricks" to pick up girls.:Puke:

Don't get me wrong, it's great you're all sharing your uhm... tips and tricks to pick up girls but I just felt like I had to vent my disgust in all of that stuff :)

Carry on!

Edit: Damn it, Soultrash made it before me so my reply looks like it's for the image above haha. Well, it's to LeSedna anyway!

Mr. White Knight,
I think you need to get out of the house more often, you're only young once brah

IMO, we aren't tricking the girls because they're only in it for one night anyways, so who cares? You don't go to bars to meet the girl you're going to marry

It's not about trickery, it's about going out and having a blast, and whatever happens, happens

You have to remember that you're out too make a positive first impression and after that you can relax a bit, I think there's nothing wrong with trying a bit harder to be positive, outgoing and confident to make a better first impression. It only becomes a game if it's exclusively for other people and not primarily for your own self improvement.

But as mentioned previously, any sort of charades are usually only going to be used on the stupid one night stand material, and you don't seem to be the sort of guy that'd be into that type of thing anyway.

Why would you want to start a friendship with someone you want to fuck. She's going to see you as a friend.. and you are probably going to behave as a friend.

I don't want to simply fuck her. And I think it's easier to become "friends" before going into a relationship. The foundation of your relationship becomes thicker and more solid that way. You can look at it as a reeeeeally long period of "light" dating if you will.

I met my girlfriend of 2 years over the internet, we talked for a year without ever seeing each others faces and when we finally met everything went swimmingly!

No tricks, no swanky car, nothing

I love the way you think Erkan, in an idealised world what you promote would be the way people went about things.

Unfortunately I don't think it really works in real life, it's gotta be sex before relationship, spending all that time being friends means you're only good at that - being friends, so that's what you'll usually stay as.

haha i knew someone here felt that way, right on. but, some people arent ready for relationships and everything. i thinks it cool you feel that way. guys like you are far and few between. and i agree with you. but, its better guys get it out when they are young i guess. before theres a girls heart to break.

I can respect this!

I would definitely take it slow on someone I really want to "keep" for lack of a better word at the moment. However I'm not into having sex with my "friends" but that doesn't mean the one girl I care about won't be my friend as well.

 it can all get so confusing. :ill:

I met a girl online too. It was great, lasted two years and then all of a sudden she turned into a crackhead and I was all bummed out. :yuk: Completely lost respect for her. She started stealing and acting all derp :Spin: and the lies! I couldn't believe the shit she come up with. I had a permanent :Smug: look on my face. Every word out of her mouth was a lie. Been single ever since.
