TV Shows

Well I already read Brave New World before it, and I think they are both really similar. Of course We was written first and in Russian or whatever language, but that idea is really played out imo, didn't notice anything interesting/new in it worthy of reading it..Academia ruins most books anyways, I read the whole thing in a week and barely discussed it

finished Spartacus.

initially i watched this as a guilty pleasure, but grew to really enjoy the performances, dialogue, and effects. I'm glad they toned down the ridiculous blood squirting from the first season. As much as I love tits and bush, it got to be a little much, especially with all the swinging cocks, the use of "Jupiter's cock", and "stick your cock inside me". I also disliked the gay shit, because I don't like gay shit, well, except gay shit between two hot chicks.

favorite character: Gannicus
hottest bitch: Gaia from the prequel

I'm still in "wait and see" mode on BCS. I recognize BB was a slow burn and was anticipating as much for BCS. Still, five episodes in and I've yet to get that satisfying moment where I feel like I'm hooked on the show.

I know Walking Dead takes a lot of shit on here, but last season and this have been the best seasons since the first. Thoroughly enjoying it. Justified, WD and Vikings are still alone on the top rung of TV drama.

The first season of Vikings is easily the best thing I've seen since Breaking Bad. Granted, I've always been interested in the Viking Age. One of the more interesting side plots is the Christian priest forced to live among the Pagans and starts to doubt his faith and sees some truth in the old ways. I do truly hope it follows the story of Ragnar Lothbrok and his famous sons. They could take this thing a long way if done right.

Oh, and the intro is fucking awesome.

The husband and I just finished season 2 last week. He then went out and bought the complete series of Rome, but we haven't been able to get past the first episode. So wimpy in comparison.
