You know what really irks me about that statement? Guys like Lemmy and Robert Halford were/are the literal embodiment of Rock 'n Roll but is Motorhead or Judas Priest in the R&R Hall of Fame? NOPE. They may as well be defecating on Lemmy's grave at this point and insulting Priest's influence. Total shit.

Also, if you think metal is taking a while, prog rock will take at least twice the amount of time to receive that same recognition with bands like Genesis, Gentle Giant, Marillion, King Crimson, etc.

He's talking the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, as for our HoF, Priest were first round inductees, and Motörhead were second round inductees.
