Upcoming Australian Gigs/Tours by Australian Artists (Plug your bands)

Pretty much.

You'll have to sort something up with Okera next time you boys are down here.

Willow: The "What have we become" song is pretty much being phased out from what I can tell, that might be the last time Arbrynth play it. :(

Rainshadow finished with 'Her Shadow'

@ Tim - The guy on the door wasn't keeping track unfortunately, but I think we worked it out to maybe 150 - 200 payers, but definitely 200+ over the course of the night (including bands etc.). We probably had about 100 watching us, elbow-to-elbow from front to back past the bar.

I'm really struggling to keep the size of my head in check hahaha.

Yeah. The figure I got was 190 payers, and that was some halfway through. Cool crowd, solid bands. I think I have epilepsy after those lasers :p

The lights were very unusual for a metal gig, but also very cool + smoke machine = madness!
Fark 190! Ain't too shabby considering 1 band hadn't played before, 1 hasn't played in Melbourne before, 1 hasn't played in 6 months, and the other was playing their second Melbourne gig in about 18 months!
2 months of solid spamming paid off :p

wow nice one!
Pretty killer first show
Keen to check it out
Spewing I missed rainshadow too, can't get 'omega' outta my head!
Duhh, da duhhh, da duhhh, da duhhh.. duhhh!

Remembering that was only partway through the night, and excluding the non-accounted ones :p.

Welkin Entertainment Presents

MUSHROOM GIANT
A STATE OF FLUX
THE NIGHT TERRORS
TERAMAZE
MOROCCAN KINGS

with Performance Art by AFTERWHITE

Date: Friday, June 19
Venue: The Corner Hotel (Swan St., Richmond)
Doors: 8pm
Entry: $12

MUSHROOM GIANT has always approached music as an art form. Liberated as an instrumental band and devoid of the usual clichés a permanent singer usually brings, Mushroom Giant has, with their 2008 release, “Kuru”, earned themselves a reputation as one of Australia’s premier instrumental bands. Their live performances transcend the conventional rock band with mesmerising compositions ranging from delicate classical arrangements with subtle shifts in shade, to intensely exerted barrages of howling guitars and drums - supported by visual projections of stunning imagery that thoughtfully complement each song.

Joining them on the night is a fantastic selection of some of the best bands Melbourne has to offer from a range of styles and genres: A STATE OF FLUX, THE NIGHT TERRORS, TERAMAZE & THE MOROCCAN KINGS will all be performing on the night, with innovative duo AFTERWHITE also providing performance art at intervals through the course of the evening.
