varg is a real person with a complex though not entirely cohesive belief system that nonetheless has some significant merit considering who he is and what he's been through. most "intellectuals" are just reciting some shite they read in a book somewhere, giving them the appearance of being rly super duper smart and wotnot, but they actually have no fucking clue.

Actually, I tend to feel that way about Burzum. When I first heard it I though "eh, it's not that great, I've heard better", but repeated listens revealed the raw energy and emotion in the music. Maybe not one of my favorite BM bands, but definitely memorable.
 
I have seen arsons and murders on TV that actually seem like good people. Not everyone who does something bad is actually the same. A normal person can murder or have an infatuation with fire and burning. It does not make them a monster and depends on the person.

Our ancestors have been burning shit down and killing people for a million years, we are the same as them so why would one be "crazy" if he burned down something?

Not everyone who does something that is considered bad is a stoic individual or a deranged pyschopath that wants to keep doing the same bad thing. There is a difference between someone being put into a situation where killing someone seems like an easy way out to benifitt them or keep them out of trouble than someone who just enjoys killing people because they get pleasure or whatever. Regardless both have to be put in jail for the crime they committed because that's fair. A person can be put into a situation where they actually think killing someone would be the best way to resolve conflict. We live in a materalistic world so that person is influenced so it's not excatly just their fault. The world is greed control power. We are forced to believe the more money we have or the more math we know the better and more smart we are. The more money someone makes they will be looked at over someone who makes less. If someone could end up loosing a lot of money they could kill over it to keep it. In this world we are told money is really important for example. This causes people to murder also and is one of the few things.

not everyone who commits a crime is a jeffrey dahmer or ed gein. Regular people that never have thought about killing have killed also.
