I honestly could care less. Just because some one has a different opinion than you and he stands up for that opinion, he should automatically be banned? while i agree that this thread is pure shit, i never said i wanted him banned. the purpose of my post was to display that it's not that he just has a "different opinion", but rather his posts tend to consistently contradict himself while maintaining a sufficient level of stupidity and naivety. that, plus his frequent posts would absolutely, in my books, label him a "troll".
also, we already know what everyone says is "their opinion". some things just aren't subjective to a noob's opinion. people have wrong opinions, it can't be used in defense of anyone.

no such thing as a wrong opinion if its based on an individual's personal tastes. if i said all black metal sucks, that would be my opinion. its not right or wrong, its just my personal take.
however, i can see some opinions as being bullshit or invalid too. as an example, if i said 'eminem rules', not because i personally like him but because hes popular and everyone else likes him, i think that could constitute a 'wrong' opinion, or maybe better yet a poor opinion. i havent said anything contradictory and anything you think is stupidity (probably that i like the song for absent friends on guitar pro) is stupidity on your part. im not hiding behind 'opinion', i think you just need to tolerate the fact that people have different views and likes and that they wont always correspond positively to you, or that you u want always think they are a great view. if im a troll, then id say you would be a troll too, youve said some pretty pointless and inflammatory remarks that seem to me designed to stir up shit

Yes. Development occurs fastest when you discuss matters with someone who doesn't agree with you. Your own opinions and aspects get questioned and put to the test, which leads to you either strengthening them if they still hold up to your standards, or you change your opinion. Both of these things are concrete examples of development and growth.
Sometimes you just want to have someone/everyone agree with you, but it's not anybody's responsibility to agree with anyone if they don't want to. People who visit, for example, the Opeth forum usually share at least one band which they like, and they/we like to discuss this band with others who like it as well. But sometimes it seems that if person A has very similar taste/opinions/aspects etc. as person B, but differs on ONE thing - then that is harder for person B to accept than if person A was TOTALLY different in his/her taste/opinions/aspects etc. For example:
Scenario 1:
Person A likes Eminem, Britney Spears and 50 Cent
Person B likes Opeth, Deathspell Omega and Rush
NO PROBLEM.
Scenario 2:
Person A likes Opeth, Deathspell Omega and Hammerfall
Person B likes Opeth, Deathspell Omega and Rush
BIG PROBLEM.

Agreed. This forum does a pretty good job of self-policing his particular brand of douche-baggery, and when you finally have enough of it, and start to feel your IQ dropping as a result of reading his inane blatherings you can always just choose to ignore him.
If he wants to out himself as being hopelessly narrow-minded and ignorant, he has a right to do just that, just as we have the right to then rub his nose in it in return. The guy's obviously still a child, so there's some hope at least that he'll eventually grow up enough to realize what an enormous ass he's made of himself and possibly even change his outlook for the better and recognize what he's been missing out on for so long.
