WE SPEAK TO 'ENDGAME' PRODUCER

Haha Andy should use the pic of him at the top of that page as his forum avatar!

"Well Roadrunners just woke me up and demanded I do this video so here we go....." :D

Unless I misunderstood, was Andy saying that they recorded the drums in the pre-pro spot? ("Vic's Garage", or should I say GA-rage :D) Wonder if that was required for cost-savings, or if they just gave it a try for the fuck of it and ended up being happy with the result?

It was our intention all along to record everything there, I couldnt see any reason to go anywhere else, huge room, really high ceilings, no nasty reflections and not against the clock

Damn Andy that must have been fucking great fun, for Dave Mustaine to pump his money into a brand new ass studio, just like with Youthanasia and say "Ok Andy, go fucking nuts!" It fucking sounds great from the streams, I can't wait to get my hands on the finished product. I'm predicting some massive Marshall GAS on these forums by the end of September :headbang:

I love these videos. Thanks for bothering to do it, Andy!

From what I can hear Chris pulled out some mega solos on this record. Listening to the one at the end of the single, it's almost as if he picked up a few stylistic things here and there from his time playing with Loomis.

I agree Ermz, what I've heard so far sounds like Loomis shredding over Megadeth, which is awesome. Makes you wonder what would have happened if Loomis hadn't been too young to join Megadeth back when he auditioned.

I actually didnt go too nuts on the studio. Dave had a smaller pro tools rig and control 24 already so I went out and just bought a few more pres , some acoustic treatment and some paint, seeing as for some unknown reason Dave had chosen yellow and blue....he must have been a touch too happy that day. I kid you not, I walked into the control room when we were first setting it up and it was like the kids corner in Mc Donalds lol, grey paint was rapidly purchased and applied.

:headbang: So br00tal!

Too bad you painted over it. You could have had a bunch of McDonalds playplace balls all over the floors.
