By viewing your lists I find 1988 is a year of great bands bring out rather poor albums ....

Sorry, but that means a bad year for old school bands.

South of Heaven is a great album, the Slayer fans though will probably say something else and put that album to my above list. Guess I won´t make friends with this post .... ;-)))

Next to Operation Mindcrime maybe Rage - Perfect Man and Danzig are additionally to be mentioned on the positive side for 1988 ... at least Danzig certainly.
