What Amps Do You Own???

Yeah but I still have that fucking seymour duncan dirty riff in my head. I play it heaps too. It's stuck in there pretty bad! I like the 5150 cabs when you've got some volume happening, for dicking about at home marshalls take some beating though. Would love to check out the randalls too.

really want one of those DM Marshall cabs!
currently got this:

I know, in the USA Engl still has got that "boutique" feel to it...
over here every 16yr old DM kid is playing the PB. by now the whole company almost seems cheap to me cause it's very difficult to not connect them with all those PB-kids

I used to feel the exact same way about 5150's and Dual Recs. Now the 'kids' are using more Line6 and Crate stuff. Must be the US economy.

That said, I've seen a few bands recently using Peavey Valvekings and XXLs, Line6 heads like the HD147 and some other solid state ( FlexIII? ) that sounded pretty damn good.

One such band was Flatline @ www.myspace.com/flatlinemetal
They're performance last night was right up there with Testament, Pantera and Megadeth circa early 90's. Tight as 9 year old Korean boy and their sound was awesome.

im struggling again with the krank, i love the krank tone in general but its soo damn hard to get what im hgearing to translate well on recordings, and its a pain in the arse to tweak caus of the damn sweep knob. other than that its a cracking amp! its wayy more ballsy than the XXL but im just finishing up some stuff ive done with the XXL and its sounding great (the drown my day stuff in my sig was reamped through the XXL) a surprisingly valve like tone from an SS amp, maybe due to the tube style output transformer!

I gotta say Mark, I REALLY think you should pick up a TS7 to try; that grain of the SD-1 really doesn't do it for me, and could (at least in part) be the source of your woes!

yer its mainly with the krank i get the issues, the xxl is fine (but dont use the sd1), my mates borrowing the xxl atm, but i really could do with going back to it to see what i can come up with. ill see how much cash i get from my next paycheque, i can barely afford to live let alone buy gear!

+1 to getting a TS for the krank

my rev jr. usually suffers from nasty fizz on the high end...the only ways i've found of taming it is to either turn the sweep all the way up, and the high all the way down...which sounds really weird...or just throw a TS in front

I hate to blaspheme in the house of Sneap but this is a better set of amps than Andy's. :yow:
