what are some good earbuds for general listening?

Swear by them, I used to have a pair of the same ones, but the commercial version, which broke after about 4 years
They sound great, you can barely feel them (I sleep with them in, a major reason for loving them)
But they cancel out so much sound it's ridiculous, no interference with your music :D
It doesn't matter how good a pair of headphones sound, if your hearing the cars drive past then you cant concentrate on the music

Totally depends on your budget, but for sub-$100 I can recommend the Klipsch-Image S4 buds (I think I snagged 'em for $75). Quite nice IMO, besides that I've heard good things about the DENON AHC560R's from my friend at work. I really haven't purchased anything past that point so maybe someone else can help you out past that. Sennheiser and Shure also make some quality stuff that is worth checking out as well.
