Here's one that I was wondering about. Practically, I think there's about three things that separate Thrash from Death.
1.The style in singing. Death Metal uses screaming and growling, some bands you can understand the screaming which is the kind of Death Metal I like. Other bands, it's just a bunch of random screams. Thrash Metal uses regular singing which I kind of like better.
2.The lyrics, Death Metal lyrics refer to mainly killing, blood, Satan, Hell, and such. Thrash Metal lyrics don't as often use these kind of lyrics. However, Slayer, and maybe a couple of other bands are exceptions.
3.The pace and sound. Thrash is faster paced, and has more guitar solos. However, Death Metal uses more blast beats and screeching.
If there are a couple I missed, feel free to mention them here.
