Apogee Duet 1 or 2 ?

The 2 is more expensive, and is USB (i prefer firewire, it doesn't use one of the usb ports for nothing) but is more convenient and is supposed to have better converters. But, I don't think I could benefit from them with my gear anyway.

Apogee Duet 1 or 2 ?

the converters on the 1 are great, but I would get the 2 because it has balanced outputs (and 2 more of outputs than the 1), and it has Apogee's soft limit, so you can clip the converters (if you so desire) to get some extra volume out of your productions
