what do you think of opeth without acoustics?

sure it could be sweet without acoustics (has every single opeth-song an acousticguitar section?)... to me the beauty and genius of the songs lie in the composition and arrangements, not in the instrument played... i'm positve they could have pulled of using an alphorn and cowbells too!

If they had the heavy part with the death growls and then the heavy part with clean vocals then that would be okay.

hey, nice Avatar! you like Candiria? I've already got 300 Percent Density...which one should I get next?

Go easy on those so called "I want to jizz up an opeth members ass" remarks!

The "anti opeth elite fanboy bomb squad" will be on you in no time!

Have a good day... :)

And yes it would be nice to hear an opeth song without the acoustics for once altough I love ´em (the acoutics not Opeth members :) )

Well their stuff isn't too technical as far as heavy goes, so it might be a little boring, but knowing Mikael, he would improvise somehow and make it the greatest metal song ever. I hope they never do one though because that would be losing the essence of Opeth... even the heavy flows with the acoustic, the ballads then those blues licks... if you only have one of the above, you get very monotonous as far as Opeth is concerned.

I had recently got into Candiria. I read on Digital Metal.com that they were in a serious accident, but they made it out with some minor injuries.

Anywho, I hear that the re-release of Beyond Reasonable Doubt (a.k.a THE C.O.M.A IMPRINT) is pretty tight. They say it is more hip-hop influenced, but don't let that deter you, I heard some samples and it still has the death metal vocals. 300 Percent Density has hardcore with death roots.
