the ability to download anime for free and with excellent subtitles years before it become commercially available.

also being able to buy decent quality pirated anime boxsets for the same price it would cost me top buy one DVD with only 3 or so episodes on it.

I agree.

I've only learned of certain Anime series through those websites.

We really get screwed for decent Anime here , usually you go to a video shop and all they have is Akira , Ninja Scroll and Ghost In The Shell if you are lucky.

Recently found the Beserk series , that was excellent apart from the "last" episode....

Recently found the Beserk series , that was excellent apart from the "last" episode....

Berserk is one of my favourite anime.

they were going to make a 2nd series, focusing on the demon world you saw at the beginning but they didn't want to do it for some reason, so they left it.

I seriously recommend the original manga (comics) because it completes the story and is far far far more brutal.
you can get it in most major bookstores now.
