What if the next Nevermore cd had 3 guitar solos total.

I love solo's, that insane aspect of egotism is inherent in all rock and roll. Jeff's solo's always fit the music, and they never feel contrived.

I'd still like the band a tonne, but Jeff's solo's get me so fired up at times, I'd definately miss that aspect.

I would definitely miss them. I recall hearing the solo on "Seven Tongues of God" for the first time about ten years ago and thinking how Jeff put so many guitarists to shame.

Thats because he uses some kind of weird scale that lacks definition (major, minor) in a lot of his solos.

Eh...It wouldn't kill me..
I'm sure the Loomis would be a sad panda, though

Would you still enjoy the band ?

It would suck unless they were the 3 greatest guitar solos to ever grace the cosmos...Loomis is good, but he's not THAT good.

That's what I love about Enemies...it's a shredfest, and he has some of his more melodic solos as well. It's my personal favorite because it features the guitar. Hey, come on...guitar solo=metal...that's just the way it is and always has been and the way it should remain...amen.

Im sure I would still enjoy the music. It would get a bit boring without that burst of refreshment that solos bring in the midst of a song but none the less I would still listen to the music.

also, if Nevermore had 3 guitar solos, it would be better than the ONE guitar solo that Zakk Wylde uses.

Great point!

^

I think my favorite loomis solos are Engines of Hate and The River Dragon. And my favorite Nevermore solo is the little dual solo action in Psalm of Lydia.

Very True at least loomis can structure solos without having to use the pentatonic scale.
But Ozzys No more tears was a great Album hence the Avatar.
