... and more important: do you still own it today? Does it still mean something special to you for whatever reason?

Mine:

I traded it away when I moved away from the indie rock thing in the late 90's, but I'm harbouring the thought of getting it again because, why, it fucking rocks.

Whoa, that actually looks like mine (and everyone else's) dingy ass cover. Yes I still have it. Don't listen often, but Through the Never is still some awesome shitz.

PS: I owned tapes, vinyls, and 8-tracks before this CD. :loco:

Hmm i was buying lots of techno and pop albums when i was 6-7. New Kids On The Block for example. I even had a NKOTB t-shirt. Then i bought some 50s rock n roll compilations, and finally "And Justice For All". But these were all original tapes. The first CD i ever bought was "Paranoid" or maybe a Slayer one, i can't really remember.

Iron Maiden - Fear of the dark, on the release date. I didn't own a cd-player but that was a good reason to get one.

So CD only?

'cause I had some Weird Al Yankovic tapes before that. What a guy

And my cousins gave us a dubbed cassette of an Aqua album once, I used to listen to that when I was 9 or 10.

And I had some songs I taped off the radio, including something by Randy Bachman's son, the cover of American Woman by that black guy, and some other crap.

fist cd I ever bought was creeping death/ jump in the fire 2 ep thingy
next was master of puppets
I already had the records though
but I was kind of slow to start on cds
I don't think I had a cd player till I was about 16/17

first record - Angelwitch s/t
second was black sabbath vol4

as cool as this makes me look....I also bought an awful lot of shite around that time too:blush:

first LP in 84 was Twisted Sister Stay Hungry ... first CD was Metallica Garage Days re-revisited
