What is the worst band that has ever contacted you?

There was a local band in my area last year that sounded like this, except the vocals were MORE out of tune.
I don't understand how anyone could play this and say "Yeah, this is pretty good."

there's a local band that's been around for 3-4 years now, they released 2 cds that
sounded pretty similar, maybe worse...and it still sounds better than their live stuff.

i saw a band they took 1 year to compose a song
6 months to record a song
It contained 6 chord circle and a robotic boring drums
like the drum machine.. only 2 diffrent type of beats in the song
and the bass was out of tune in the recording... :|

I almost recorded a friend's band that were just boring. Their drummer is seriously 13, and is good for his age, but as a drummer is mediocre at best. The singer is horrible, and all of their songs plod around at one pace: slow as fuck (but they aren't doom).

My ex's band (before I started seeing her). Man, that was a rough one. I tried pricing them out so they'd go away but they wouldn't!!! They came in to do 3 songs, but brought in so that I could pick the best three. I picked one, sent em out to dinner, and cobbled two more together from bits and pieces of the other tracks. Incredibly, it didn't turn out anywhere near as awful as I thought it was going to. Sounded pretty good, but the songs were still fucking terrible.

The only plus was that my ex was a fantastic singer...and incredibly hot...So yea, it didn't turn out all bad, but I always wanted to just grab her by the shoulders and say "Your band sucks, you HAVE to find some other people to play with!"

...But like I said, she was hot, and for some reason was allowing me to see her naked regularly, and I couldn't bring myself to tell her even after we had split.

that's just a portrayal of how much skill a generic core band like that amounts to, without using the studio magic.

I'd say that's why bands like this one think they're ready for the studio. All this "studio magic" shit gives bands the impression that they can be shitty as fuck and still they'll sound good in a studio (or rather the end result will sound good). They never heard of "shit in, shit out".
