I've unfortunately put a halt on seeing any shows (besides Ragnarokkr) until I find a new job. Ideally I would like to see the Iced Earth Show, Overkill, Sabaton and Iron Maiden.

I hope I can hit all these!

3/5 - Truckfighters
4/13 - In Solitude/Devil's Blood or maybe Ghost/Opeth/Mastodon
4/25 - Overkill/Suidakra

5/11 - High Spirits / Hookers
5/18-5/19 Ragnarokkr
7/5 - Iron Maiden/Alice Cooper
9/13-9/15 - ProgpowerUSA

I had no clue about that MSG gig. I would've done that under different circumstances. Interesting gig for Sacred Dawn to be at.

I saw Y&T yesterday and they were AMAZING!

Were they?
My brother is trying to get me to go see them next weekend.
I wouldn't mind going just to check it out because the club it is at is awesome (Tailgaters in Bolingbrook, for the locals).

I think they are only charging like $12 for it too.

We'll see. I only know their hit tunes they had videos for back in the day like, "Summertime Girls". This would definitely be a "For shits and giggles" show for me.

They blew me away. I also was expecting a "pretty good" show. They scorched through a 2 hour set and the energy was rolling off the stage in waves. I think I got more tired standing in the crowd than they were - and they're A LOT older than me! I love watching bands who are unmistakably happy and enthused to be doing what they do, and Y&T delivered far beyond what I thought they would. What surprised me the most is just how damn good of a guitar player Dave is - he's a blues-rock tour de force.
(Summertime Girls is indeed in their set)

I agree...it is great to see a band enjoy themselves on stage. Nothing is worse than the bands who seem they are just going through the motions.

This.

It is funny.
In the past couple of years, it seems like the old timers are having the most fun on stage. (IE - Thin Lizzy, Priest, Maiden, Uriah Heep, Diamond Head, Michael Schenker, etc, etc).

I hate to say it, but I would guess part of it is that these artists aren't touring with CD sales on their minds. I would guess the decline in album sales makes touring for current artists a VERY stressful situation (Sorry, I know I might seem like Capt Obvious here, though it does seem like its the older bands who are killing it live).
