Was Miller playing on bass or was it their in-between replacement before LePond, whose name I forgot?

Yes, Andy something (I forget). Miller didn't want to tour for some reason, so they picked up a replacement player just for the Twilight tour.

I had heard about the Miller stage fright thing but I never new they had another touring bassist... interesting. So Miller never once played a live show with the band? I think TIO was their first tour wasn't it?

sure, you're not as tucked away as the drummer, and perhaps not as passive as the keyboardist... but you don't really have to dance a jig in the spotlight.
