At the moment the Eagles. Their music is so simple, yet so innovative and encompasses several influences and genres. Led Zep can be heard on "Life In The Fast Lane", Status Quo can be heard on "Already Gone" and Garth Brooks can be heard on "Take It Easy".

Hotel California must be one of the best songs of all time.

I know this band aren't Metal but they're close.
