Does Houwitser even have anything stand-out about them at all?

I'm just seeing them as a generic brutal band. I dunno, if it's just me.

I mean, I respect anyone (especially SC) who likes them.

Thanks man. Houwitser are indeed fairly generic. The reason I like them so much is simply because all their albums have excellent riffs and drumming suited to picking-out the headbanging nature of the music. They've just got a very high and consistent standard, even if their music is in no way original or distinctive.

Embrace Damnation is definately their best I think. Damage Assessment (newest one) is probably their poorest....but that's more because of the repetativeness of the drummer's fills.
