when did you start seriously getting into metal?

what age did you start to seriously listen to metal, particularly underground stuff. im 15 and im still fairly new to the genre. i mainly listen to opeth, in flames, soilwork, arch enemy, syl, morbid angel, and older thrash, but i dont know anybody my age who doesnt listen to mallcore, rap, punk, ect.

probably a year or so ago.

well, I had already been listening to metal for 2 or 3 years ago, but i never really took it seriously then.

well.. i think it was about 3 years ago or so.. that was when i got into Children Of Bodom.. i had listened to Metallica before that, though.. i'm almost 18 now, so i guess i was 14 or 15 when i got into metal

I was about 14 or so. That was 10 years ago. Thanks to Megadeth, who steered me in the right direction music wise.
