If you saw them live after 2003, then you must be dreaming that you want to get into them. They can hardly even play the new songs live right, especially Anders. They loaded all their new albums with shitloads of effects that they cannot perform live.
Now ask Anders: "Why don't you play the old songs live?"
Anders: "the old songs are just way too layered with guitars and stuff where that would be impossible to play live nowadays"
How can't they not play them live now if they played them 10 years ago? Even though he's talking about the layering, they already add keyboards and effects live for the new albums, so why don't they add the layered guitars as well? Anyhow, Colony is the one layered the most, and not The Jester Race or Whoracle.
Doesn't Anders say that they make the new albums so they can play all the songs from it live? Well, there are at least 4 songs from Come Clarity that haven't been played live yet: Pacing Death's Trail, Versus Terminus, Our Infinite Struggle, and Vanishing Light. Whereas for Colony, all songs on it were played live except Man Made God and The New Word. Just an overview:

I have bought all of their albums, and I must say, they are now one of my favorite bands of all time. Whatever you do, don't judge In Flames on the last three albums (although I like them quite a bit). Kickass band!
