I think it would be interesting. If I didn't live on the other side of the planet, I'd apply for vocals. Though I'm more in the viking/black metal strain.. And probably wouldn't suit the role.. heheh.
When the guys get a new vocalist, will there be clean vocals?

Yeah, we're certainly looking for people who also have the ability to do more clean vocals, so hopefully we'll find someone with that ability. Death/harsh vocals will still be the main style however..
