I guess what's confusing is that most everything outside of metalcore, death metal, and black metal has clean vocals
So dudes like the singer from Legend (US) would fit into this category? I like his distinct, not-very-metal vocals!
I thought you'd heard this band? Slough Feg covered their song "The Wizard's Vengeance" on Twilight of the Idols.
They put out one LP in 1979, entitled "From the Fjords." It has been reissued on LP once (& bootleg versions also) and now on CD too.
I picked up a reissue or bootleg LP off ebay once and it is some seriously good shit!

So anyway, outside of how this thread is so confusing (what? ), there's an interesting trend here. Some of the bands listed thus far are some of my favoUrite artists.
