While Heave Wept Cancels Midweek Mayhem

Hey Milton a great replacement would be ASKA from Dallas Texas, lots of people know them and their work. Ask Zod.
i can cosign on this - LOVE me some ASKA :)

Sucks for the band and the folks who were looking forward to them. However, Glenn and Milt have a track record of turning cancellations into opportunities. Curious to see who the replacement is. My guess is Avantasia with Andrew WK handling all vocal duties.

back to the thread topic - this is a bummer, for sure. i hope all goes well for the WHW folks and that we get them back again soon.

and here's to Milton for pulling a surprise out of his bag of tricks, i'm certain :)

I had a funny feeling this was going to happen. I saw Brave this past Saturday (Trevor and Michelle Schrotz are in both Brave and WHW). I talked to Michelle briefly about their upcoming WHW show at ProgPower and she had said they had not practiced in several months. I found that surprising at the time, but now that I know more to the story it makes sense.

I fully understand that family comes first and hope to see them again in the future.

For what it's worth, I often ask bands who don't tour with great frequency how they prepare for shows. NO ONE has ever said they need more than 5 days to practice for a tour / festival.

A real bummer indeed but I'm still incredibly excited for this show. My first midweek mayhem and it will also be the first metal show I will have ever attended in the U.S. (hopefully the first of many). It's going to be a killer night!

Great band WHW. Amazing set they played a few years back. Hopefully they can get things cleared up sooner than later. As for mid-week, personally I'm a less-is-more kinda guy, so it wouldn't bother me a bit if the slot wasn't filled. Just my 37 cents worth that's all.

Is Watchtower still active? Because that could rule.
I thought no since Alan Tecchio left the band again in 2010, but honestly who knows with this band. they haven't put out any new material since what 1989??
