Who else feels the 70's prog thing when listening to Deliverance?

Floyd, Gentle Giant, Genesis... that's it guys, obviously quite a few of us hear it. I think Mikael really loves the 70's thing, which is great. :)

NP: Primal Fear - Black Sun

I hear it too... Me likes it... Mainly in A Fair Judgement, but the feel is there throughout the album... I wouldn't have difficulty hearing AFJ on a Floyd album or something similar (minus the heavier parts, granted...)

Side Note: Semi-unrelated - Do the clean vocals on AFJ remind anybody else of Tori Amos? I don't know why I hear it, but I do... Coincidence, I'm sure...

I fucking swear I feel it... it's the 70's thing. It's hard to pinpoint, but it's there.

Anyone else feel this way?

Also, there's the underground melancholy going on, something that I heard also on Katatonia - Brave Murder Day.

Is it just me or do any of you know what I'm saying?

yes and yes.
