I find it interesting how you and I both grew up in fairly religious families, yet managed to start listening to extreme metal and bands like Deicide and Satyricon.
It doesn't really surprise me, but whatever.

Yeah, it seems most people in our upbringing would go only as far as Marilyn Manson concerning anti-Christianity and mainstream metal, I don't really know if we're really that common with a religious upbringing and now we don't even believe in God and listen to extreme metal. By the way, my Deicide shirt is on now.

I like how most Christian organizations don't even know about black metal. As long as you don't listen to Twisted Sister or Metallica, you can go ahead and listen to Mayhem and Burzum with all their blatantly anti-Christian lyrics.
^Yeah, that is very true, I plan on getitng a Burzum Filosofem shirt next spring and I'm pretty sure no one will have a clue who they are, much less the song Jesus's Tod.
