Something Wild is a bit too death metalish for my taste, though it has some great songs on it...
now Hatebreeder is just plain neck breaking, it has the right measure of death metal not to spook me out and the right measure of heavy/speed/thrash metal to hook me up! and as always some enormously kick ass melodies everywhere!
and SW's sound in my opinion is worse than HB so i don't know what you complain so much about...
SW sounds more noisy and low fidelity, in turn in HB every instrument has its own space and you make them very well between each other... you get to appreciate Alexi's constant melodies better, holy crap the guy is so hiperkinetic on that damn fretboard! he doesn't stop even to sing hehe that's very amazing

I LOVE SOMETHING WILD..... Its just Hatebreeder is my favorite

and Red Light in my Eyes... I really don't like that song. Alexi himself said there were some songs on SW he wish he had thrown in the trashcan so...
the production is better on Hatebreeder as well.
even though SW has classics like Lake Bodom and DeadNight Warrior, Hatebreeder is, IMHO, a legendary heavy metal album. I fell in love with it immediately.

Anyone actually prefer FTR too HB? I think the songs on FTR have a lot more identity and obviously better production....FTR wins for me.

i think that on FTR the band has a "clearer" sound than from the others, but there all good so it really doesnt matter to me
