Why was 'Unfurl' not included on TGCD?

Wondering why Katatonia decided not to include Unfurl on TGCD...?

Seems to be a (growing) concensus out there that this is one of the best songs the band has ever done - I certainly feel that way.

I don't think the mood of the song departs from the overall feel of the album. Wondering what the decisions were behind this, whether business or something else?

Because it didn't exist at the time of the TGCD sessions. It was written and recorded at a later time.
