Winter NAMM 2010!

Just got an email from Toontrack that mentioned Superior 2.2 - wonder what that will entail! (and more importantly, whether it will be a free upgrade for registered users :D)

EDIT: And apparently Dirk Verbeuren is gonna be there demo'ing it :worship:

been out for a while, and yes (as with most toontrack updates) its free

snooze

Not much interesting IMO. Was really hoping for something interesting from AVID. Delay comp, open hardware options, new hardware, the 96 i/o for LE
nope.

updates to the AIR VIs that I'm going to have to pay for, even though they never worked that well to begin with and updates this small should be free. :erk:

I watched Dirk for a while at the Toontrack booth, pretty cool! I actually got to NAMM fairly late today so there's a lot of stuff I haven't seen yet, but I definitely noticed that Avid's presence was extremely simplified and probably about 1/4 the size that it was last year...kind of strange.

Adam, I don't think Slate is even at NAMM this year, I'm disappointed. I looked for him through the whole brochure listing under Slate or Steven, and there's nothing for either...

We'll be showing off the release version of the Slate Digital FG-X Mastering Suite plugins, including the new FG-Q... TRIGGER the multichannel drum replacement plugin (these two should be shipping)... and another really fantastic digital plugin that we've been working on for a year and a half.

We'll also be doing more demos with DRAGONS by Slate Pro Audio, and we'll have some sneak peeks at Steven Slate Drums Platinum DELUXE, which the next update to the SSD line.

We're in HALL A, in the 6000's.. more details soon. Hope to see you all there.

Hey, if anyone is actually gonna be there, stop by the Dwarfcraft booth and tell them Sloan said "HAAAAYYYYY!!!".

I was planning on being there, but lost my job and thus couldn't get a plane ticket.. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

SOMEONE GIVE JOHNNY DEMARCO A HUG/high-five!!!

Interesting new plug-ins from Waves. There is a CLA "suite" of plugins that look like they will take the fun out of mixing :) Essentially drop the plugin into your insert, tweak a few settings and your off to the races. It'll be interesting to hear the audio demo's though. Plugins seem to excite me nowadays. Ive seen pretty much all their is in terms of guitars and physical instruments :s

Whoa, just realized CLA is doing a couple demos each day... I will absolutely go watch that. I'd love to even just shake his hand...

PRS is going to show their Mikael Åkerfeldt signature guitar. I'm really curious bout it!

Anyone has seen it already?
