Alder body, Maple NT, 81-7 bridge? Definitely my thing, need those bright woods and 81-7 to clean up the mud usually associated with 7 strings, especially the bog standard mahogany + 707 combo we see so often.

What? I'm so confused, page 2 just has that gay red one in 6 string. I've seen Devy's with the single bucker, but I have yet to see this H/S setup and I am dying to!
Yeah, I hate the red one too (especially the headstock, wtf with the BC Rich ripoff), but I meant that its specs match the PXD Vicious II listed on page 2 (most notably the 6-strings As well as the two 'buckers and more than a single volume knob)
And the solitary 12th-fret reverse sharkfin ain't really doin' it for me either...

I am thoroughly confused and have no clue what you're getting at. They listed the PXD Devy specs right there on the first page, just don't have a picture. And it clearly states that it's an H/S setup.
And yeah, the picture above is Devy with the protoype... I want to see this mystery single coil business!!
I'm saying that on page 2, the specs for the red guitar that's pictured (a different model than the one described in the article, presumably less expensive) are listed

Yup... 28" scale, alder body, 81-7 and a single coil neck? That has got to be one of the brightest sounding guitars on the planet. I bet it sounds great clean, and it's very cool to see EMG finally make a 7 string single coil pickup (hopefully they start selling them individually too), but otherwise the specs sound very strange to me... seems like it would be a very thin and trebley sounding guitar...
