EDIT- Lead times for an amp build is currently 3 weeks from date of payment. That is subject to change, it could be longer or shorter depending on how busy I am. I will for sure keep the buyer updated on the build. Pictures of progress will be sent as things get done. I don't know of any other company that will show you YOUR amp being built.

As for payment, I can do builds on a split price payment plan. Half down to get the build started, then the other half when the build is complete. If the other half of payment is not received within 2 weeks of the completion of the build, the contract will be forfeited and the amp will become my property with no refund of the initial down payment.

I know most people involved in metal are not big into hand built amplifiers and the high prices that come with them. Let me explain why these amps cost so much. There is nothing mass produced about these. I do everything by hand. I hand select quality components. I punch the chassis by hand. I drill the boards and stake the turrets myself. I solder every connection by hand. I run every wire. No machines used here. Same with the cabs. No CNC wood working here, no cost cutting by using nothing but plywood.

I guarantee you you are getting something that is much higher quality than any Peavey, Krank, Engl, etc.

I also forgot to mention that they come with a limited lifetime warranty on parts and flaws on my behalf. Tubes, and any thing that breaks due to neglect, abuse, or misuse is not covered. This is non transferable and is for the original owner only.

when i go for a Cab definitely gonna look you up.....How about Seventh Circle Audio ? would you be willing to assemble them and how much would something like the run?

I can do that as well! I have built them before. $50(+S/H) is all it would take(even with shipping that's a LOT cheaper than what they charge to assemble). Just let me know!

Looks good Wolfe, can't wait to hear a recording of the javelin.

Any chance of a preamp only version of the javelin? Rack mountable or otherwise(not overly important)? Single channel only, designed purely for feeding into impulses for recording?

Cheers

At the moment I have no interest in building any rack gear. Maybe down the road after I actually turn a profit I'll look into it.

I could custom build an amp for you with just a single preamp, but the cost wouldn't be much lower than the actual 'full' amp. Reason being is building a high voltage tube pre is just as intensive as building a tube preamp with a power amp. The only components you kick are a few caps and resistors, the output transformer, choke, and power tube(if we are talking about a Javelin). You are looking at maybe $200 knocked off the price. It would still need about the same size board, chassis, and power transformer, so it really wouldn't be any smaller either.

But like I said, I can build whatever you want! Let me look into an exact cost of what A javelin would end up being with no power amp section and I'll get back to you.

Cheers Wolfe, if its not gonna make a decent price difference then its no stress. Pretty keen to see a finished Javelin in action!

Be sure to post some pics and clips when you have a working prototype of the Javelin.

Cheers

Phil
