it's more like the physical attraction is what gets you there and starts it off. and then the personality is what makes you stay with him/her.

Well, of course it's stupid to say that physical attraction doesn't count lol.
But imagine this situation: Two women, one blonde, blue eyes, tall, nice boobs and bottom, white straight teeth. The other a bit thicker, not so perfect body, not perfect teeth... So if the second one opens her mouth and I notice that special charisma, that special something - I'd SO go with her.
There's this over 40 year old TV moderator, she leads a show about politics. She has not the typical physical attractions, but I would guarantee for nothing if I was single and had the opportunity, you know...
So @Josh: it's fine that you study psychology at school, ok. But someday you'll recognize that NOT everything can be explained with science (yet).
