Are you kidding...
They're playing in Austin two days AFTER I leave fucking Texas for good. Ohh well, I'm not a big fan of the newer stuff either really.

I'm on the "would make an effort if they didn't suddenly start sucking so hard" boat. Last 2 albums are fucking terrible.

Whoa, most of this thread is pretty ugly! Here are some answers to your concerns...

Lunar Still - When I heard "Every day I become more extreme" on Woods III, I knew that I would not like this band for much longer.

If you were offended or turned off from the lyrics of that song, it's probably actually about you, more than you know. That was always the point of that song. Go listen to any one of the thousands of 'black metal' bands who aren't saying anything.

Lunar Still - I expect them to play mostly stuff from Woods III, which was shite.

What did you base this expectation on? WIII is the album you like the least so you'd expect we'd play it the most, so you'd have something ELSE to complain about?

Det Som Engang Var Oh yeah. It was so bad I deleted it immediately.

After you downloaded it for free, even considering we're a completely independent band paying for that album out of pocket and etc... You've got a lot of nerve to bother to post something like that. How uninspiring. A band can only realistically progress and do bigger and better things WITH support. W4: The GREEN Album HAS been very well received, btw, even if you haven't connected with it. Regardless, I really do hope that you still DO come to the Houston show, after all.

EricT - I'm on the "would make an effort if they didn't suddenly start sucking so hard" boat. Last 2 albums are fucking terrible.

We are stronger and tighter as a live band and in studio than ever. We've endured SO much change and so many setbacks over the last eight years that I'd be happy to never even have to even think about again... and through it all we changed, so the music was bound to change with it. A lot happens in eight years. I'm not 22 anymore, re-writing "Against the Seasons".

There are always parts of the process that we have little control over, but the music we aim to make is the music we want to make, that best represents us at that time. It may always continue to change and that's how I like it, personally. I agree that WIII was inconsistent but that's the best we did with what we had to work with at the time, and even then it was A TON of work. There were lots of lessons learned in that era that this band has taken into the future. W4: The GREEN Album fulfilled a particular vision that needed to happen in order for us to move on in yet a new direction. It was the best thing for us to do in the bigger picture of what we're doing.

It's disappointing to me when any listener from the past wouldn't even 'make an effort' to see this indy band when we actually tour near him in North America and goes as far to say that anything was ever 'fucking terrible'. WE are 'making an effort' all the fucking time!

Lunar Still - Even so, they're not playing anywhere near me so I guess it doesn't matter.

For those who will be attending a show, we will be playing an equal amount of songs from all four albums, with lots of songs prepared to choose from. We've been rehearsing in Philadelphia all this week, the set is tight and sounding good! We're looking forward to tour! :kickass:

Thanks for reading!
