As a German, it's quite hard for me to fathom how, for some of you, the games are only available via pay TV. Footie has such a high standing as a cultural good here, if the World Cup wouldn't be freely available, we'd have open riots in the streets ha ha.

Yeah I am from Portugal. Not the best country to live, it has low wages and the things are really expensive. They were really good on this game but to say to truth I think that we gonna have our ass kicked by Brazil.

I´m not that sure. Brazil doesn´t need to win this match so they'll probably try to preserve the players. Kaká is suspended, so Dunga will probably put Julio Baptista (great player, but not a "rainmaker" as Kaká) or maybe Nilmar on 4-3-3. I expect this to be a great match and I´m glad that we don´t need the victory.

Hey, last year Argentina was beaten by Bolivia by 6 x 1 and Maradona was the coach.

I don't know how it looks from outside, but here, this is pure shame on them.

There are 2 things :

- the coach is the worst you can imagine EVER, and he has been here for so many years, just because he's friend with the important people of the business. He should have been fired long time ago, but he is still here. I'm pretty sure he was the starting problem, and the fact we went to final in 2006 was pure sport facts and he didn't merit it.

- there are a few players in the team who are fucking stupid and act like fucking son of rich / brats. There has been a problem inside the team for a long time. One of our players has even been fired yesterday for insults.

Everything led to a fucking shame on france. The whole country don't recognize in them. It's a fucking pity for those poor good players who went for the first time in world cup. This team is full of wonderful individuals, but it lacks a coherent spirit to play decently.

The next coach is Laurent Blanc, he was the captain of the France team back in the days when they were one of the best teams in the world (98 world cup, 2000 euro cup) and he is already a good coach. Unlike the previous one, he is logical, and doesn't answer to interviews like a fucking kid. The federation is putting big hope in him.

What will be funny in france the next days will be when excuses will have to be adressed to sport federations and the fans

I dont know about other countries, but before our game against France they did like a hole field report on France, and they asked random people on the streets of France what they thought the final score would be.
And most of them said "3-1 or 3-0 Mexico" and they all laughed. Looks like they all knew what you just said.

Pretty sad though, since they were almost champions 4 years ago

Yes and the worst part is they diserve it. In France, they are beloved personnality, like a rockstar can be, but sex drugs and rock n roll doesn't work for a sportive man.

The USA match was awesome, I can´t believe they missed so many goals. I think USA is going against Uruguay on the quarter-finals, and good luck against Forlán and Lugano because you will need!

He played in Barcelona. He can be a good coach, but I think Luis Fernandez is the man! We love him in Bilbao. He put the Athletic Bilbao in the second place of the league when he was the coach.

Yep but what is also interesting in Blanc is that he has been captain of the France team for a long time, and he has been world champion and europe champion. So I guess, added to the fact he has been a good coatch, he was the best choice right now for our team.

The good thing in the bad current situation (it's a fucking mess in the press right now in france about french football because everybody wants to know how we came from the top to the bottom) is that it's such a mess that he will have no problem to do whatever he wants, nobody will complain and will give him what he thinks is needed.

I know man, my buddies and I were absolutely DYING watching that game!! Amazing way to end the game!! The team looked much better with the changes made to the squad, seemed more balanced to me. Looking forward to the next games.
