Worst metal band ever period

Dream Theater.
Sonata Arctica.

Can't think of anymore atm.

Also: Attack Attack isn't metal.

yea i remember my girlfriend at the time being really excited to go see Attack Attack when they came to my city once along with all of her deathcore/crunkcore/skaterboard/pothead/retarded/raver/drug addict/herpes-infested friends. She asked me if I was into Attack Attack and like 10 other shitty bands I replied "NO"

I have to say I hate emo/crunkcore/deathcore more than any other form of music because I associate it with a really bad relationship experience. This music has caused deep emotional scarring for me. its worse than anything posted in here bar none

I think Cythraul won this thread without even posting:

No, the two knights duelling on the Yamaha MU 128 tone generator are badass. Not the song.

Its true that music has deep psychological emotional roots, ever noticed how hearing a particular song can instantly remind you of certain situations that occurred before and the emotions that accompanied them?

Sonata Arctica.

Nah. Sure they've put out some cheesy fluff, but their faster, heavier songs (heavy for SA, anyway) like Wildfire and Wolf and Raven automatically disqualify them from worst metal band ever status.

Plus they haven't released anything this atrocious:

Yeah, that is pretty bad (way too tame and commercial), especially compared to the brilliant folk metal they came up with in their first two albums, Heathenreel and The Winter Wake. Songs like Seasonspeech, Pagan Purity, Neverending Nights, Devil's Carriage, etc etc are pure brilliance...
