I can't tell by the news coverage how much is hyperbole, but it looks bad there. The news is portraying it strictly as criminals and thugs doing this. Is this more of a backlash from the recent protesting or is it opportunistic rioting like they make it out.

The impression I get is that it's opportunistic rioting. Although the Yahoo report did say that last nights riots were triggered by a simple stop and search, which I find hard to believe.

There was a shooting between police and someone the other day. Hoodie wearing cunts have used it as an excuse to rob stores and burn them, including one place that had more than a dozen families living above it whom they could have killed.

From what I've heard the dude that was shot had a gun and actually shot at the police. So I don't get why the fuck people were protesting in the first place.

I have heard that the guy involved in the shooting/shoot-out was a member of a gang and the riot after the peaceful protest in Tottenham was a retaliation. I can't verify this anywhere at the moment though.

Instead of just playing with them and showing them that what they are doing is tolerated, they should send lke ten times more officers there, treat all these rioters as they would treat any single lone criminal that would attack a police officer (anybody here knows what does the law say about attacking a police officer ???).

Just film them to get an evidence, arrest them, judge them, put them in the jail for minimum a year each.

The problem with that idea is that to get those kind of numbers you'd basically be leaving the rest of the country without a police force for the night, and there would be a massive crime spree because of it. Also keep in mind that not all police officers are trained for riots.

While I can't possibly condone that, I do agree the military should be brought in at this stage to get it under control. Shit has gone on long enough and needs to be sorted NOW.
